The CICA Autumn General Assembly was held virtually this year on November 26, 2020 via Zoom.
This year a new CICA Board was elected:
- Mr. Irwin Perret (Venezuela) nominated by FIIC was elected CICA President for a two years term
- Mr. Philippe Dessoy (Belgium) nominated by FIEC was elected Senior Vice-President
- Mr. Enrique Espinosa (Peru) nominated by FIIC was elected Vice-President
- Mr. Daniel Tardy (France) was confirmed as Treasurer
Although the CICA members were not able to meet in person, this virtual General Assembly led to very fruitful exchanges and the importance of CICA as voice of the construction industry on the international level was acknowledged.

The newly elected President, Mr. Irwin Perret, thanked the outgoing President, Mr. Emre Aykar, for his leadership during his two year term (2018-2020) and committed himself to continue working with MDBs and other international institutions to show that the construction sector represents a strategic priority, especially in times of Covid-19 and that the construction sector, when abiding to good business practices, is a valuable partner for investment and has a lot to offer to communities.
